Beethoven: Piano Sonata #23 “Appassionata” – 3rd Movement
Comment: Beethoven was a master at the piano, and his piano sonatas are magnificent. There are some who argue that while some composers took quite few piano sonatas to “get in the groove”, Beethoven hit the ground running and that all of his sonatas are worth hearing. In celebration of Beethoven’s birthday, we will hear the third movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata #23 in f minor, op. 57 — better known as the “Appassionata” sonata.
